Tutoring Sessions
Attain Tuition SK offers 3 core services for students from KS2- A Level and beyond. All services can be provided in-person, from the Attain Tuition study or online. The 3 core services are:
1. English/Literacy 1:1 tutoring- 60 minutes
2. English/Literacy 1:1 tutoring- 30 minutes
3. Revision/Study techniques consultation
In the months to come, we hope to add to these services with a Maths/Numeracy offer too.
We accept payment via Stripe (via the 'Book' section of the website). Alternatively, cash/card, bank transfer or Paypal are also accepted.

English/Literacy 1:1 Tutoring- 30 minutes £15
This is a short session designed to overcome a specific learning barrier over a number sessions. The content could be from a KS2 assessment/ GCSE/A Level specification or professional skills test. Equally, general literacy skills can be catered for too.
A specific weekly/fortnightly learning plan can be devised to focus on, for example:
- A specific exam question or aspect of a literature text
- A particular skill required to specifically complete the exam or assessment
- A specific component of literacy
Teaching methods could include:
- Guided practice
- Live modelling from the expert tutor
- Shared practice between student and tutor
- Expert explanation

English/Literacy 1:1 Tutoring- 60 minutes £25
Introductory offer: 5 sessions £115
This is a longer session designed to allow for detailed work to be on on specific learning challenges and barriers. The content can be similar to a 30 minute session but a full exam question/skill can be practiced and then the tutor can offer appraisal/feedback on the work. This feedback can then inform a piece of home study provided by the tutor for completion independently and it can also be used by the tutor to prepare the learning plan for the following session. In addition, the session can be aligned to content taught in KS2-KS3 curriculum and liaison with school teachers can be offered.
Teaching methods could include:
- Successful walkthrough of the learning task
- Expert marking and feedback
- Follow up work to further retention

Revision/Study techniques Consultation- All Subjects £25
Introductory offer: 5 sessions £115
This is a session designed to allow students to learn how to effectively revise, study and prepare for assessments/exams or complete home learning provided by schools/sixth forms etc.
Tutors are able to offer research backed revision and study strategies that will allow students to work on retaining necessary knowledge and make effective use of revision time ahead of exams/assessments.
Within sessions, students are able to:
- Devise an effective study/revision plan
- Complete a revision session on a key exam topic/learning elements
- Practice a range of effective study/revision techniques
- Plan for further practice sessions- aligned with school curriculum and demands
